Activities are still up in the air. The only definite plan so far is:

It'a a PIG ROAST!!
We will need volunteers on Saturday to shuck corn, snap green beans. help with the ice cream making, and to help monitor the meat as it will take hours to cook. Can I see a show of hands?
Other activities may be:
We are considering a trip to Living History Farms where you can experience what life was like for Iowans at different times in its history. There is also a little town nearby that has a bunch of antique stores, for anyone so inclined.
We are also considering a trip to my sister-in-laws house. She has lots of animals. Sheep, cattle, horse, ducks, geese, chickens and lots and lots of flowers which should be gorgeous about then.
We also have an Historical Museum for history buffs. And shopping malls. And even places to fish for those fisher persons among us.
There is a race track and casino in Des Moines, for those so inclined. Adventureland theme park is also available. Or you can sit and watch the corn grow (which many think is all there is to do in Iowa. LOL)
If you have specific activities you would like to do, let me know, and I will see what I can arrange. But there is lots to see and do in Iowa, despite what you might have heard. ;o)
